Victoria Medical Centre – An Update

Dear Patient,

Victoria Medical Centre wanted to get in touch to let you know that there will be some changes in how we look after you over the coming weeks. This is because we need to make sure that we minimise the risk of you getting Coronovirus.

The situation is constantly changing and we are carefully following guidance from Public Health England for the best ways to keep our teams and our patients safe.

It is very important that you do not come into the Victoria Medical Centre building unless you have been asked to by one of the doctors, nurses or a member of staff. This is to reduce the spread of infection amongst our patients and staff.

If you need to:

Make an appointment

Please call the practice and book a telephone consultation. The lines will be busier than usual especially during peak hours (8:45am to 11am) as we shift face to face activity to the telephone
Request repeat medication

Please either do this online via the website or email clccg.vmc@nhs.net directly with your request. If you are unable to access email, then exceptionally, we will take telephone requests. Please also make sure that you have nominated a pharmacy for collection of your medication so that you do not have to come to the practice reception desk to collect a prescription first.

Collect a letter or document from your medical record
Please email us stating your full name, date of birth and address and we will email or send you a copy in the post
Visit the pharmacy Clinichem

Please walk straight through to the back of the waiting room, bypassing the reception desk.

Thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented and difficult times.

From all of us at Victoria Medical Centre
